St Lawrence and St Hilda of York

St Lawrence's is a beautiful, friendly Anglican church that is situated close to campus, on Lawrence St, led by the parish priest, the Revd Tim Jones.

The liturgy is on the traditional side, however the preaching is relaxed and friendly. There are four services every Sunday:

Parish Eucharist at 9:15am
Community Eucharist (with Sunday School) at 11.00am
Evensong at 6.00pm
Laid-back, café-style Night Prayer at 8.00pm, followed by drinks at the pub!

The church is affiliated with St Hilda's (situated on Tang Hall Lane) and is part of a diverse, lively community which encompasses all age groups and backgrounds, and for those students who wish to escape the student bubble, St Lawrence's is ideal. Most of our students attend the 11.00am and 8.00pm services, but are welcome at any or all!

We offer great fellowship and a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to worship with us, no matter what your spiritual background, and a place to really get stuck in and serve as part of the community.
