About UYCU
The Christian Union is an evangelical organisation, affiliated nationally to the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship - UCCF, and internationally to the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students - IFES. To see who helps organise college and campus events, check out the Postholders.

The aims of the society are to love and serve God by:
- Individually and corporately proclaiming the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to our fellow students, and living lives that are consistent with the gospel.
- Challenging and deepening the faith of members by teaching, prayer, Bible study and worship.
- Stimulating interest and active involvement in missionary work at home and abroad.
- Encouraging members to be committed to a local church.
We meet usually every Saturday to worship God with music, and a visiting speaker will explain a passage from the Bible. Each college also has bible study groups in the week. For more information the Colleges section.

York Christian Union relies totally on gifts from students, ex-students and from churches in order to run. If you are interested in giving to the CU please go to the Giving section.
Membership
The Christian Union welcomes anybody, regardless of their beliefs to any of our meetings. Membership is open to all who can honestly sign the following statement:"In joining the society, I declare that I accept Jesus Christ as my Redeemer, Saviour, Mediator, Lord and God, and I will seek in thought and action to be ruled by His teachings written in the Bible. I give my active support for the aims of the society."
Membership means that you are allowed to nominate and vote for postholders, and be a postholder yourself. You will need to sign the membership book to become a member.Email the Christian Union: socs25@york.ac.uk
