Main CU Meetings
Every Saturday evening the Christian Union meets for a time of worship, teaching and prayer. Information about the structure of York Christian Union can be found here.

The CU meets in different rooms on campus, normally one of the following three: L/028, V/045, Goodricke Dining Hall. If you don't know where these rooms are please get in touch and we will help you find them!
Events Calendar
Colleges
Each college meets during the week on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for their own CU Meeting. This normally consists of Small Groups, a Bible Study, and then time together as the whole college, Big Groups.
Other Meetings
James Toasties
Every week from 10:30pm on Tuesday to 3:00am Wednesday James CU serve toasties in James JCR. Come prepared for long chats and plenty of toasties, sometimes with quite interesting fillings.
Vanburgh Toasties
Vanbrugh Toasties is in Vanbrugh JCR from around 11pm to 3am, usually on a Thursday after events in Vanbrugh Bar. Free cheese toasties and interesting conversation are on offer.
Prayer
Thanks that the college administrator has been so welcoming to us this term and that she'll carry on, and for good relationships with the new JCRC would be appreciated. At the moment we do Toasties after events such as Viking Raid or the Vanbrugh ball but we're looking at maybe making it a more regular thing, and possibly alongside Volume as well, so prayer for that would be good!
Alcuin Serve
Serve happens every Thursday from around 8:55 to 9:20am . For that short space of time we give out hot chocolate , orange juice and croissants/cookies/any sort of almost breakfast food , for those with 9:15's (we tend to be located near the library). The aim of serve is simply to bless by providing some breakfast.
Prayer
Thanks for the positive response and interest of people in Alcuin. Prayer that productive conversations would come out of the contact on a thursday morning, and this would spark interest in our open small group.
Late Night Worship
Every Thursday at 10:00pm until around 11:00pm we meet in the quiet place for an hour of worship, mainly prayer and musical. For more information see the Music Team page.

Early Morning Prayer
We meet in/outside the Quiet Place (downstairs), weekday mornings at 8.15ish. Usually followed by breakfast/coffee (and muffins) in Derwent (if you're lucky enough to not have a 9.15)!
A few of us have been meeting in the mornings to meet with God and pray for our university and we want to invite you to join us.
We believe that there could be a day that everyone on our campus bows the knee before God, but its got to start with us getting on our knees and crying out to God to come and change the hearts of our friends and fellow students!
It is such a privilege to be able to meet together to pray and to listen to what God is saying to us, and it's a fantastic way to start the day!
Please join us, whether its every morning, once a week, or just once a term.
