We are looking for a housemate to join three third-year girls (one Christian) in our friendly little house in Fulford. Our former housemate has had to leave uni unexpectedly and has left behind a double room which we need to fill asap! We are currently living in a lovely 4 person house on Constantine Avenue, but one of our housemates recently dropped out of uni unexpectedly so we are looking for a new housemate to join us.
The room is a decent size double - with the best radiator - with rent costing £62.31 a week plus bills. Electricity and gas are on pre-pay meter.
The house is in a good, convenient location, with a Co-op at the end of the road and other shops at both ends, and is only a 15 minute walk to both York uni campus and town. The room is available from now until 30th June '12.
We are a group of one girl and two guys, and are all friendly, laid back and reasonably tidy! We are also all non-smokers.

I'm finishing my Masters degree in Uni. of York this Oct 2011, and would like a room to stay till end of Oct/Nov from the 3rd of October 2011 (1-2 months). Size of the room doesn't matter - and I would not need any other facilities for that month - just a place to sleep.

I'm a nearly-eighteen-year-old female looking for a place to stay as I begin to study at York College for two years. I'm going to be studying acting, and my main interests involve music and art so I guess other drama geeks and arty freaks such as myself are preferable as housemates :P I would like a Christian environment, but I am not fussed whether this is with other students or a family. I need access to York College, whether that's within walking or cycling distance or on a bus route. Hi all, seems like no one's posted on here in a long time, but I'm hoping someone can help me :)
I am coming to study at York as a mature student and I am a Christian too.
However, I want to live out so am trying to find a room to rent, but it is proving very difficult this late in the year.
I can move to York any time from 31st July to 1st Oct, and can stay until June/July onwards next year (or longer if I love the place!).
Would be great if anyone could recommend me somewhere?
Also, York Uni told me that there's a kind of online student noticeboard where students can post adverts for rooms free in their house (or state that they are seeking a room) etc.
However, they've told me I can't get access to it until I've registered, but that's far too late as I need to move out of my current place in Leeds by 31st of Aug (can also move out any time before then if I find a place)!
Finally, if at all possible, I would love to live with native Chinese speakers (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), as I've been teaching myself Chinese for a while and plan to take some LFA courses in Mandarin, so I would love to have people with whom I can practise as part of my everyday life - it's much more effective than just having a language buddy!
Ideally I would like somewhere close to Maths and Physics departments, and a double room, as I'm used to sleeping in a double bed these days and have a lot of stuff..

We are two girls, one Christian, looking for someone to move in to our 3 double bedroom house asap until the end of the summer term (when our tenancy ends), due to problems with the third girl who lived here until a few weeks ago. We live on Lawrence street, and have sadly had a housemate decide to leave uni. The room is lovely-very big, double bed with a separate seating area with a sofa. We are all lovely, 2 of us are Christian, 3 boys and 3 girls, all second years.
Rent is £60 a week and bills are around £20 a month.
It's a large house with a big kitchen, 2 showers, 3 toilets, garden and is about a 15 minute walk up to campus (York uni).
Available in the next few weeks, until 3rd July (last rent due June).
