Why this would be good:
1. Reading the Bible in a year , I can testify, it is a massively helpful way of growing in our relationship with God.
2. Doing it together means when we find something difficult to interpret etc. there will be plenty of people around who will have just read it!
3. It will hopefully encourage us to talk more about what we have understood/gained from God's Word in our interaction with each other.
4. I like, many other people I'm sure, have times when I read the Bible less regularly than I would like. Hopefully this will be an encouragement to engage with the Word, consistently.
5. Many of us will be engaged in some sort of "Christian Work" together. I think uniting around God's Word will help us all to work together.
6. Depending on how quickly you read, it should take only 20-25 mins a day!
7. If you wouldn't classify yourself as a "committed" Christian, it matters not, I gained alot from reading the Bible regularly before I was a Christian.
8. Probably loads of other reasons!
