Hello, I’m Reuben and I am one of the Co-Presidents. That means that I will help look after the overall running and wellbeing of the CU and ensure we are meeting our vision. This can look like many things and often involves meetings, planning sessions, and supporting the rest of the committee in their roles.
I’m excited to be able to serve in this role, to help share the good news about Jesus with people who need to hear it. Outside of this, I enjoy studying Biology, singing and making music, going to the gym and reading.

Hi! I’m Caitlin and I am one of the Co-Presidents of UYCU this year! That means that I help cast the vision of CU and look after its overall running and wellbeing. This can look like lots of different things, depending on what CU needs at the time. However, it involves leading and supporting the rest of the committee in the amazing things that they do for UYCU, and reflecting on how we can better succeed at giving every student on campus the opportunity to hear and respond to Jesus!
I’m a second year law student and I like to cook, go charity shopping, and spend time with friends in my spare time. I’m so excited to see how God will use the CU this year to reach more people, and to help create a fun and welcoming environment for everyone!
If you ever need to get in touch or have any questions about the Christian Union, my email is kpb521@york.ac.uk

Greetings, I am Ren Zhi and I am this year’s Secretary, which means
that I do room bookings, send a lot of emails, do risk assessments for
our events, organise and book speakers, in addition to various other
administrative tasks. Overall, I try to make sure that CU runs as
smoothly as possible, as we share the gospel across campus.
I study English Literature, and love reading random dusty tomes (and
telling you why you should too!). In my spare time, I like watching
and playing football, listening to classical music, cooking, watching
even more sport and directing the occasional musical

Hiiii!! I’m Anouk and I’m the Publicity Coordinator! That means I create Instagram posts, flyers, and generally help spread the word about CU so that people know what’s going on. My goal is for people to hear about CU, feel welcome to join, experience real fellowship, and ultimately, through that, have the chance to find out more about Jesus!!!
I’m a second year Biochemistry student, I love being a part of uni volleyball, travelling, and I’m constantly on the search for the best brownie in York - pls send any recommendations :) I can’t wait to see how God will move at our uni this year!

Hi! I’m Tim and I am the Treasurer, which means that I look after the CU’s money. I make sure that budgets are made, spreadsheets are filled out and money is wisely spent. Being wise with money is a really Biblical principle, and it’s really exciting to use it to spread the gospel to as many students as possible. I do a lot of sport in my free time, especially football for Derwent college (the undisputed best college in the university…).
I study Politics with International Relations and I love going on walks, runs and playing guitar. I’m excited to meet so many new people next year, and to see how many free Bibles and Gospels we can give away!

This involves leading sessions on how to plan Bible study studies, as well as organising socials and evangelistic events.
I’m a Law student and in my free time love baking, drawing and exploring more of York - I have quite a reputation for trying out different brunch places, so if you want any recommendations, let me know!
